Description

This white tea, known as 君山银针 in simple Chinese and 君山銀針 in traditional Chinese, is also known as Silver Needle of the Gentleman's Mountain. It is grown in the Hunan province of China, where yellow tea is also widely cultivated. Therefore, these two varieties are often confused, especially because they share many similarities.

Producing this white tea is extremely labor-intensive and time-consuming. Only the youngest, hand-picked buds are used. On average, 1 kilo of Jun Shan Yin Zhen contains 60,000 buds! These buds are still closed and have a very fine, hairy texture on the leaves.

The flavor is essentially a recognizable, beautiful white tea; light, delicate, soft, and with subtle notes of stone fruit and sweet hay.
