Culemborg Good afternoon
The old town hall of Culemborg, located on the Markt, is an important historical building. It was built between 1534 and 1539 by order of Elisabeth van Culemborg and her husband Antonius van LalaingThe building, a Brabantine Late Gothic design by Rombout Keldermans, served as an administrative center and courthouse, and housed a meat hall for market days. Over the centuries, the complex was expanded with various buildings, resulting in a layered structure.
