Process : DCM (dichloromethane) method: In the extraction vessel, dichloromethane circulates around the water-soaked beans to extract the caffeine. The DCM and caffeine mixture is then drained from the extraction vessel. This extraction step is repeated several times until the remaining caffeine content is at or below the legal maximum level of 0.1%. The process ensures that any residual solvents remain below the limits set by European legislation.
