This Chinese green tea and jasmine blend perfectly, giving the tea a soft, delicate flavor and a floral fragrance. Making jasmine tea is a unique and time-consuming process. After the green tea is picked and processed in the spring, it is stored until the jasmine blossoms are ready to be picked. After the jasmine blossoms are picked, they are blended with the green tea. To intensify the jasmine flavor in the tea, the mixture is turned several times. This turning process, also called perfuming, can take more than a month. Making 1 kilogram of jasmine tea sometimes requires more than 7 kilograms of jasmine blossoms.
