Description
Good night Culemborg
Once again a proprietary blend from Thee Zusje.
History image Papklok:
The porridge clock, also known as the town clock, is a centuries-old tradition. In Culemborg, the clock in the Grote or Barbarakerk (Great or St. Barbara Church) has likely been in use since 1506. The clock was used as a warning that the city gates, which once controlled access to and from the city, would soon be closing. For those working outside the city, it was a sign that they should return home, eat their hot porridge , and sleep safely within the city walls.
